Wade Pottery Viking Longboat

Almost complete

Finally, yesterday, I managed to spend my Sunday in my own workshop.
Bike is almost complete now.
Ok, it still looks into pieces, but really now it's a matter of an hour to get it going.
What I did yesterday was long and needed myself to have free time, and free mind.
First I had to clean all the greasy parts. And believe me that was a hell of a job.
Then I reinstalled the rear damper, after I had it refurbished; I tend to do this every few years.
Once this was done, I had to adapt the rear fender elimination kit to my bike. I didn't like the way it wanted to be fit (eliminating the sight of the coolant reservoir tank and forcing to have those strings attachment pins cut away), so I had to grind it down to the size I wanted. Hence I modified the license plate mounting which holds turn signals as well.
I installed the lovely new blue wheels, including calipers and everything. Ofcourse I had cleaned the chain and lubed all the 5 brand new bearings. All dust seals on wheels are new as well.
Front and rear mudguards are on as well.
I wired the plug for cellphone/GPS 'cigarette lighter' type sock. Given the kind of trip I do, and given the power of modern smart-phones (and their thirst for those electrons), I just couldn't live w/o a power sock on this bike. I wired it inside the glove box, so it stays protected and, mostly, doesn't fly around.
So now I just need to finish off few little stuff and simply install the fairings and officially open the season.
For this 2010 season we got some GREAT rides in mind. Just stay tuned to see what's coming up.
Finally, yesterday, I managed to spend the day in the garage.
The bike is now complete.
Yes, I know, it still seems to pieces, but in an hour of work will be ready!
Yesterday I devoted myself to those things that needed some free time and a little 'relaxation and peace.
First of all I cleaned all things greasy (chain, swingarm, etc etc). A big job.
Once you create a hygienic environment :-) I reinstalled the mono, which has just been rebuilt (I tend to do that regenerate every few years).
Then I adapted the kit to eliminate the fender behind. Since the kit provided cutting redcap to attach elastic bands and straps, not the closure of the space that allows the inspection of serbatoietto coolant, I decided to give us a flexible and create the shape that best suits for me. This work includes the installation of the support plate which also includes the process for the rear indicators.
I mounted the beautiful blue wheels, having changed all the bearings and cups. Installed
well parafanghetti ... inter alia, the front shows the new color of the bike finally
:-) Finally I wired the cigarette lighter socket for your phone or GPS. For the kind of speed I do now I can no longer afford to be without batteries, these devices consume a great bit '. I put the connector into the compartment for gloves, it is safe and not waving it around.
Now there are only small details and I can finally put the hulls and officially open the season.
For 2010 we have great speed in the program. Ass and Titanium will be glorious.

EMANUELE PHYSICIANS Skylight_Disegni and Collages 19 February to 11 March 2010
Opening Thursday, February 18 to the smallest detail, with a willingness to dig into material reality, to get deep and make it through the mark with a quick and effective graphics.

The skylight is a spiral of light inside a black hole underground, similar to Dante's circle can be considered beautiful or shabby, but certainly interesting as part of the forms that surround us, that we often for granted but which somehow influence our perceptions. The design for the artist is always the first level, the basic approach and need to dive with lightness and freedom to arrive, only later to support more complex of the photograph, after a 'further handling becomes collage. The works on show represent a precise stage of this process of analysis are the beginning, the 'closer to the subject through drawing, the preferred means of' analysis and its subsequent investigation.

will be presented for the occasion a number of medium-format photographic collages on 'Architecture of the skylight, showing the presence of' man in the 'impressive look of the sky above, a series of watercolors of small and medium format amplify the details of the circular shape, a wall-drawing of about four meters in size characterized blacks and grays of signs on a white background and a series of large canvases depicting the 'whole station.
