Today's ride / Tour Update Today

Today I rode. Not really a fast pace one. I started with my original idea but a late start and a coupla of wrong direction taken, I ended up with some 970km and the following route.

My bike stopped clocking at around 577, in St Moritz. The damn speedo wire broke....

Today I went for a ride. I started with my original around, but starting too late, and a couple of mistakes in direction, I finally did 970km as follows.
A note: I broke the speedo cable to 577km .... around St Moritz ....

Kirkland Brand European Cookies

Finally I didn't do what I planned today, as weather wasn't good at all.
I still rode, 300km, but I managed a good shower on my last pass (I rode 6 passes).

I came up thinking I can really update my original plan (and hopefully perform it next week?).
I added one Pass, The BERNINA , and applied a little detour after OBERALPASS on my way to Chur, simply taking an alternative road.
The blast increased to 1142km, and I frankly think it's rather on the limit on this time of the year (two to Decreasing length of daylight). But it's an idea, can be done next year as well.
Here we go:

the end I realized my idea today because the weather was not good. I've been away, yes, 300km, but I got a good dose of water on the last step (6 of which I did).

I really thought I could change my original plan (in the hope of doing next week?).
I added a step, the BERNINA , and made a small alternative route after OBERALPASS towards Chur, simply by taking a more scenic route.
The ride passes to 1142km, and frankly I think it is the limit of viability in this time of year, due to decreasing day length. But it is an idea that I can do again next year.

Studio Maffei Milan is proud to present Studio Maffei Milan two of the artists who have most attracted the attention of American audiences and critics during the trip to New York.
The exhibition, divided by a 'perfect line that divides the gallery in a fair and speculate, encouraging a dialogue between two different artistic personalities, a selection of works that, on the edge of an' investigative material, some broken and rigorous at times, creates a harmonious and consistent, with an emphasis on making art to the 'Italian' of great refinement and elegance.
The very title of the exhibition is designed to make it clear to the public that we are not faced with an event end in itself, but rather a cultural project that involves changing the artists and gallery owner in the difficult but necessary attempt to Italian art in an international dimension, drawing, through the classic format of the exhibition, the conclusions and ideas born from a journey, not only physical but in a sense, metaphorical. As was the case in New York, also in this exhibition are privileged installed work, work is in the case of Abbot of Braga who represent and exemplify the complexity and versatility of the production of the two artists.

PRESS RELEASE

Dec. 12-2010 Jan. 8-2011 Milan Sept. 12
Is pleased to announce the opening of "STUDIO MAFFEI MILANO IS PROUD TO SUPPORT ITS LOCAL ARTISTS", combining solo exhibitions from 4 different Italian emerging and mid-career artists into one show. This show highlights a selection of recent and site-specific works, chosen among some of the most talented Italian artists, exhibited during the last two years of the gallery’s activity. ENVIRONMENT is garnering attention in four Eco-conscious cities in the United States and starting to build up great interest all over the world. The brand has won rave reviews from Time Magazine, New York Times, Elle Décor, Domino, Los Angeles Magazine, C Magazine and The Wall Street Journal amongst other publications. Home design and green bloggers are reviewing Environment's designs on a daily basis. Part design consortium, part modern craftsman, Environment is a furniture brand unlike any other, underscoring its commitment to people and the planet through a forward thinking dedication to using materials and processes with low environmental impact and working together with organizations such as the Tropical Rainforest Trust (TFT) to eliminate illegal and controversial tropical wood from supply chains and replace it with wood from TFT forest projects from FSC certified forests.
Established on April 2008, STUDIO MAFFEI MILANO is a concept gallery dedicated to the use of contemporary art to the development, communication, and realization of alternative exhibition projects and to the investigation of new ideas inspired by the sharing of diverse social experiences between artists, curators, collectors and professionals in the sector. The gallery aims to feature debut-emerging and mid-career artists, both local and foreigner, conceived to showcasing works that both reflect and refract the contemporary culture of life. The headquarters is located in Milan, Italy, but rather than adopt a gallery-as-sanctuary mentality, STUDIO MAFFEI MILANO encourages its artists to work freely, altering the space as they see fit, working on site-specific project around the world. Exhibitions will feature a broad range of contemporary art: painting, sculpture, film/video, performance, mixed-media, and conceptual installation.

Burst Capillaries On The Face From A Slap

AUG 2010
NYC has built a case by assembling the floor boards, reinforced with beams that serve as a support for the floor itself. New York is the goal of every artist, especially if emerging as a point of departure or arrival. The cox installation pilgrimage is a testament to how long and difficult this process. Once in New York the case became the living and working space where to build a few new works using local materials, like fabric of military tents in which the company creates its own padding to cover of the structure. The focus idea is to give new life to all the material that has been made available to the artist.

Technical description Shipped box external dimensions: 2.50 x 1.50 x 1.50 mt.
Inside is another case a few inches smaller, this will serve as the container in which to ship my work to the US, like a suitcase for the immigrant artist. Once its arrives at its destination, I'll dismantle it, joining the panels (alternation the external ones with the smaller ones inside), thus creating the same four walls. Mounted together they will create a cube of 2.50 x 2,90 x 2.90 mt.
Installation weight : around 250 kg
Volume: 5.625 mq. Detailed materials: fir wood, iron (screw) and textile

Frottaging the world

"car-manhole / new orleans.", 2010
I'm travelling the U.S. with a photographer, she captures the reality in an ethereal  way. As a sculptor I can't take away the object that I see, I'd have too many suitcase.  So I need of a my own way, like a photographer I take my sketchbook and my pencil and I find to catch what my eyes can see trough the frottage. The sheets that I obteined are like a kind of picture, but with a more materialistic point of view reguarding the reality.

How To Remove The Hologram From A Drivers License

Not much riding / No motion

Weather sucks big time, so I am actually not riding much. Plus my job loves to steal my time, but, well, that's life.
Culo di Titanio, aka The France Ride , has been skipped for this year. For such a ride we need the maximum daylight possible, and when there was it, we couldn't do it, for a reason or for another. The loop has been slightly modified (will publish it soon) and it's set up for 2011.
But I've an idea for a nice one day ride. Over 1000km, but with some transfers road (I mean not twisties only ) but ending up in Switzerland ( again ), and across some 14 mountain passes. I am planning to do it on Monday, supposing weather will give me a chance. After monday I cannot do any ride like this, as I must prepare my track bike , trailer, tools, slicks for a 3 days at racetrack (Thu-Sat). So again, I hope weather will let me enjoy that.
Here my idea for this Monday (or whenever it will be), and the map:
Il tempo fa schifo, quindi non sto andando tanto in moto. Inoltre il mio lavoro sembra rubarmi tutto il tmepo libero, ma, che ci posso fare, c'est la vie.
Ass Titanium 2010, ie around in France, has jumped this year. For a similar ride in one day, we need the maximum light possible, and when there was, for one reason or another, we could not. We have slightly modified the route (I'll publish soon) and we decided to do it in 2011.
Meanwhile I have an idea for a nice ride to do in the day. Over 1000km, with a little 'of smooth roads (ie not curves and bends), crossing the border in Switzerland ( again), and 14 passes. I think I do it Monday, hoping the weather is clement. After Monday for that week, I can not make other similar speed as I prepare for track racing for three days at Adria (Thursday-Saturday). Still, hoping that time will allow me to have fun ...
Here's my idea for Monday (or upon), including map:

How Do I Cancel A Poptropica Account?

90,000! Track time there

Wednesday 4th August, a perfect bet as the day before was wet and the day after was worst, we decided to meet somehow halfway ( Passo Gavia ), and then just relax, have lunch or ride around.
So we did it. :)
We both left home at around 08:00am and met up sometimes in early noon after not less than 300km ride each.
We enjoyed lunch in peaceful Gavia Pass, And Then Decided to go for a loop around the mountains, hitting Switzerland, and Few passes, till we get back home to split.
This is the whole day ride I Had, 739km:
Wednesday, August 4, a day chosen to perfection as the day before was bad, the next worse, we decided to meet halfway somehow (Gavia ), for a chat, a little 'relaxation (the mobile phone does not take them), eat or even do a spin.
And it is this that we did!
We started at 8 am both, each in his own way, and we met in the early afternoon, the Gavia, after not less than 300km each. After
Pizzoccheri Valtellinesi the Gavia pass, we did a spin coming out in Switzerland, and doing a little 'steps, to the point where we parted.
This whole day I was rewarded with 739km:
